Town Of Cedros

Our focus is to transform communities.   One way that God has lead us to work in Cedros is with the children.   There is a great need to educate godly principles and values. In two separate locations we gather more than 50 kids each week for bible study. Every Wednesday, we share a different bible story and they memorize a verse that applies with it.   As homework, they have to apply what they’ve learned.  For example, last week they had to apply responsibility for their own actions. Not only are we working with the children but their moms as well.

Village of La Pila

La Pila is a dairy farming community about 40 minutes away from our base. It’s a community that we’ve fallen in love with over the past 3-4 years as we’ve built relationships with the people. There are approximately 50 families living there, and by now at least 80% of the community knows who we are and trust us. This trust has allowed us to start things with the end goal of seeing development and, Lord willing, a church established there. Just recently we were able to bless the kids of the community through having a community-wide potluck and giving away shoe-box gifts provided by Samaritan’s Purse. We wanted to see the whole community come together and have everyone involved, so every family brought something different to eat, and we had music, dramas, and shared with them about the gift that God has given us in Jesus Christ.
